Simple answers to what shop owners ask us most. You can also try almost everything yourself in the free live demo, a sample café with a year of sales already in it.
₱599 a month for each branch, after a free 30-day trial. You don't need a card to start. That price includes everything: the register, kitchen screen, stock, recipes, reports, payroll and the Back Office. No fee per device and no cut of your sales. If it is not worth it after a month, you can simply stop.
Any normal Android phone or tablet (download the app from Google Play), or any computer, iPhone or iPad through the web browser at emberpos.net/app. There is nothing special to buy. Many shops start with one used tablet at the counter.
Yes. The live demo is the full app, running on a sample café that already has sales, staff, deliveries and stock. Make sales, count stock, run payroll, press anything. It all stays in your own browser, so you can't break anything, and the Reset button gives you a fresh café.
→ You start signed in as the owner, Maria Santos, with short lessons one tap away. If you sign out, her PIN is 1234.
No. Send us what you already have, like a spreadsheet, a Word file or even a photo of your menu board, to atlasco.web@gmail.com. We will add your items, prices, ingredients and starting stock for you, for free. You can also import a spreadsheet (CSV) yourself in Settings → Data, or load the sample menu to look around first.
Not in the App Store yet. iPhone and iPad can use the full app in Safari: open the app, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. You get an icon that opens full screen like a normal app, register included.
The Android app does. Selling, receipts and even signing in keep working during a brownout, and everything is saved online when the internet comes back. The browser version needs internet to open the first time, then it can handle short drops. If your signal is often weak, use the Android app.
Yes, and each one can use different ingredients too. A Large costs more and uses more milk. An extra shot adds ₱25 and uses 8 g more coffee. Because of this, your stock and your food cost reports are always correct.
→ Try it: Make a sale in the demo.
Tap Discount on the order and choose a percent or an amount, with a reason. Senior and PWD discounts take 20% off and save the customer's ID number with the sale. You decide which staff can give discounts. Every discount shows in the activity log and the sales reports, with the staff member's name.
Yes. On the payment screen, choose two payment types and enter the amount for each. You can type the GCash reference number too. Later, the app can compare your GCash history with what the till recorded, so you can find any missing money.
Yes. Add the customer to the order and choose Utang when paying. The amount goes on their tab instead of into the drawer. You can see everyone who owes you and for how long, record payments as they pay, and set a limit for each person. The app can also write a polite reminder you can send on Messenger.
Void (cancel) is for mistakes, like an order entered twice. The order stays in your records as cancelled, with who did it and why. Refund gives money back for a real sale, all of it or one item, and can put the ingredients back into stock if the food was never made. You choose who is allowed to do each one, and nothing is ever deleted quietly.
Yes. Tap Hold and the order is saved under Held Tickets. Open it again when they want to add more or pay. Dine-in tables work the same way: the table's order stays open until it is paid.
When the cashier sends or pays an order, it appears on the Kitchen screen right away. Put a tablet in the kitchen and it rings when a new order arrives. Each item shows its size and add-ons exactly as ordered. You can also connect a kitchen printer so a paper ticket prints too.
→ Try it: The kitchen screen.
A screen for your customers that shows order numbers: preparing on one side and ready on the other. It updates by itself from the till and the kitchen, so nobody has to type anything. Any spare screen or tablet facing the customers will work.
Yes. Print the QR code on each table. Customers see your menu on their own phone and order, and the order goes to your kitchen screen. You approve it first, so you never cook for someone who already left.
Yes, that is the main idea of the app. Each menu item has a recipe. When an order is paid, every ingredient in it comes out of your stock, including the size, the add-ons, and takeout cups or boxes. No counting at the end of the day.
When a delivery arrives, your staff count what actually came, item by item. Your stock, costs and the bill follow what they counted, and the report shows where it is different from what you ordered, for example "received 2 of 3". If you paid the driver from the drawer, that shows in the shift count too. You can print the report for the driver to sign.
→ Try it: Receive a delivery.
It's your choice. You can pause selling while your staff count, or keep selling and let the app adjust. You can count in kilos and grams, liters and milliliters, or packs. The app also stops obvious mistakes, like 644 kg of matcha, before they are saved.
Yes. Give the item its own recipe. When you make a batch, the raw ingredients come out of stock and the finished item goes in. The real cost of the batch is then used for every menu item that uses it.
→ Try it: The prep station.
The Shopping List looks at how fast each ingredient is used and tells you what to buy for the next few days, in packs, grouped by supplier. Tick what you want and it becomes a purchase order. Items that are running low also show a warning on your dashboard.
Use Waste & Spoilage when it happens, for an ingredient (the milk went bad) or a whole item (a wrong latte). It takes the right amounts out of stock. The report shows the total loss in pesos, and you can print a slip for the person who saw it to sign.
Yes. The Profit & Loss report takes your sales, subtracts the cost of ingredients, staff wages from the time clock, and the expenses you record, and shows your real profit. Nobody has to type anything in between. You can also see your cash flow, your break-even point, and which items earn the most.
→ Try it: See your profit in the demo.
They show where your cash is after a drawer is closed, so no money goes missing on the way to the bank. Receive: the manager has the cash. To vault: it is locked in the shop's safe. Deposited: it is in the bank, with the deposit slip number. Picked up: the owner or someone you allowed took it. Each step saves the amount, the time and the person's name.
Everything, as spreadsheets (CSV): sales books, orders, expenses, payroll, stock and recipes with costs. You'll find them all under Export Reports. Your data is yours, and you can download a full backup any time in Settings → Data.
No. Ember POS is not a BIR-accredited cash register or POS provider. Receipts show your registered business name, address and TIN, and include the "not valid for claiming input taxes" line where the law requires it. Many small shops use Ember POS to run the shop and keep using their BIR-registered receipt booklet. If you need accreditation, ask your accountant about your shop's registration first.
Only if you allow it. You choose what each person can see and do: for example, a cashier can use only the till and the kitchen screen, while reports, settings, discounts, cancellations and payroll each have their own switch. Everyone signs in as themselves, so every action has a name on it.
→ Try it: Staff and permissions.
Staff clock in and out on the app, even from the sign-in screen. Payroll uses those hours: regular hours, overtime after 8 hours at 1.25×, each person's rate, minus the SSS, PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG amounts you set for each employee. Each payroll is saved and ready to print as payslips.
Open the Back Office at emberpos.net/office, then Staff → Hours worked. A shift that is still open says so. Press Correct, enter the real time they left, and save. Payroll will use the corrected hours.
Only one of them. Each drawer belongs to the person who opened it. When someone takes a break, they hand over the drawer with a count, and the person covering them is responsible for their own cash. So a shortage always belongs to one person, which protects the honest ones.
Yes. Each branch has its own staff, stock and subscription (₱599 a month each). You can switch between them in the app, and the Back Office shows all your branches on one page: total sales, stock transfers between branches, and the same reports for each.
Yes. Open the app or the Back Office on any phone or computer and everything is up to date: the cash drawer, who is clocked in, today's sales and the kitchen orders.
Normal thermal receipt printers, the common and inexpensive kind sold in most computer shops, connected by Bluetooth or over Wi-Fi. A cash drawer can open by itself if it is connected to the printer. You set up the receipt printer and the kitchen printer separately in Settings → Printers.
Your shop is saved online all the time. Sign in on any other device and everything is there. Each shop's data is kept separate and backed up for you. You can also download a full backup any time, and you can ask us to delete your account and all its data: here is how.
Updates come through Google Play like any other app, and they never touch your data. We only remind you when an update really matters. Most updates come from requests sent by shops like yours.
Use the Write to us box inside the app (Help & Support). It comes straight to us, and most messages get a reply the same day. You can also email atlasco.web@gmail.com.
